France Reuses Foundry Sand in Road Project
In Burgundy, France, engineers used about 17,000 tonnes of discarded foundry sand in a highway project on RN 80. After two years of observation, tests found good road strength and no environmental impact. The project checked whether recycled materials are safe and effective for roadwork.
Context
