KKR, Singtel and Tata Pitch Sale of STT GDC India
Investors KKR and Singtel, along with Tata Communications, are preparing to sell STT Global Data Centres India. The owners expect the deal to value the data centre business at more than $5.5 billion. The sale would help the owners raise capital and refine their strategic goals for the business.
Context
Data centres house the servers that run websites, apps and cloud services, and demand for them has grown fast as India goes digital. Global infrastructure investors often buy or sell such businesses to fund expansion.
