French AI lab Mistral has released its Large 4 model, nicknamed Le Chonk, and made its weights open for anyone to download. The model has 1 trillion parameters and works with images too. Mistral says it matches or beats top models from DeepSeek and Z.ai in coding and cybersecurity.
