Nepal exported electricity worth $39 million to India in a month, The Hindu reports. The export came a month after flash floods hit the country.
ContextNepal is a landlocked Himalayan country that relies on rivers for hydropower, and it sells much of its surplus power to neighbouring India. Monsoon floods often damage roads, homes and power lines in the region.
