Brazil Offers Road Map to Phase Down Fossil Fuels
Brazil has put forward a plan for phasing down fossil fuels and stopping deforestation. The proposals build on a decision from the first global stocktake under the Paris Agreement, adopted at COP28 in Dubai in 2023. The aim is to advance climate action while supporting economic development, energy security and people's needs.
