Vaishnavi Wins First Match on WTA Tour at Chennai Open
Indian wild card Vaishnavi beat Britain's Burrage in a close, long match at the WTA Chennai Open. She came back from behind to take the win. It is her first win on the WTA Tour, a notable step for an Indian player in the event.

Context: The WTA is the women's professional tennis tour, and a wild card is an entry given by organisers instead of earned through rankings. Chennai hosts this tour event, so Indian players get rare chances to play in front of home fans.
