Rohit Sharma May Return as Mumbai Indians Captain
Rohit Sharma could return as Mumbai Indians captain for IPL 2027. Hardik Pandya is expected to leave after a disappointing 2026 season. The franchise is reviewing its squad before the mini-auction in December, and new coaching appointments have added to the buzz.
Context
The IPL is India's top franchise cricket league, where teams buy players at auctions and can change captains from season to season. Mumbai Indians is one of its most successful teams, so leadership changes draw wide attention.
