Las Vegas Faces Flash Flood Risk Through Sunday
Flash flooding remains a concern in Las Vegas, where the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for northeastern Clark County until 9am Sunday. A wider Flood Watch stays in effect through Sunday night. Light-to-moderate rain will continue through the morning, with Clark, Lincoln and Mohave counties facing the highest rainfall.
Context
Context: Las Vegas sits in a desert where rain is rare, so even moderate storms can cause flash floods on dry ground. Flood Watches warn that flooding is possible, while Flood Advisories point to flooding that is happening or expected.
