EPFO Services Now on WhatsApp, Small Dormant Accounts Auto-Settled
Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has launched EPFO services on WhatsApp, letting subscribers check their PF balance and transaction history on the app. The government has also started settling small inoperative EPF accounts automatically. The change is aimed at making provident fund access easier for workers.

The Employees' Provident Fund is a retirement savings scheme run by EPFO, where salary contributions build up for workers. Accounts that stay inactive for years can be left unclaimed, so small balances may be settled automatically.
