Madras HC: Non-Hindus With Religious Markers Face Entry Rules
The Madras High Court said non-Hindus carrying religious markers should not be allowed into Agamic temples unless they respect the deity and follow temple customs. The bench said visitors need not convert to Hinduism and directed authorities to enforce entry rules without yielding to political pressure. The court said such entry would defile the sanctity of the temples.
Context
