India Sets Up National Social Security Board for Gig Workers
The Indian government has notified a National Social Security Board. It will design, monitor and suggest targeted welfare schemes for gig and platform workers, as well as traditional unorganised workers. The aim is to close gaps in social security for millions of people who work outside regular jobs.
