Fast-Moving AI Research Makes Many LLM Claims Expire Quickly
Stanford researchers checked 50 widely cited claims about large language models against 20 current models. Forty-four percent of the findings have already expired, and another 34 percent have weakened a lot. On average, a claim lasts just 15.7 months before it stops holding true, so research is struggling to keep pace.
