Odisha Partners With J-PAL to Guide Policy With Evidence
The Odisha government has signed a three-year agreement with J-PAL South Asia. The aim is to strengthen evidence-based policymaking through research and joint work. J-PAL South Asia will support several state government departments in Odisha in tackling their policy problems.

Context: J-PAL, the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, is a research network based at MIT that tests whether programmes actually work, often using randomised trials. Governments increasingly use such evidence to decide where public money goes.
