NASA Simulated Mars Crew Emerges After 378 Days
A crew from NASA's simulated Mars mission has come out of isolation after 378 days. The mission is a test on Earth of how people might cope with living together in a confined space. Its results are meant to help plan longer future trips to Mars.
पार्श्वभूमी
Context: NASA runs long simulated missions in a closed habitat on Earth to study how crews handle isolation, tight space and limited supplies before real trips. A journey to Mars would take many months each way, far longer than any mission in orbit.
