IIT Madras Builds 3D Maps of the Human Brain
IIT Madras has developed a technology to create detailed three-dimensional maps of the human brain. A recent Health Wrap episode also covers the newly released C-STROKE atlas. Plans to map more than 100 brains are part of the discussion.
Context
A brain atlas is a detailed map showing where different parts and structures sit in the brain, helping doctors and researchers study it. IIT Madras is one of India's top public technical institutes, so this work is part of the country's wider medical research effort.
