Ranji Trophy: Punjab Start Favourites Against Andhra
Punjab, playing at home, start as favourites against Andhra, who are described as desperate. Punjab have 12 points from three matches. Andhra have managed just three points from three home games. The Ranji Trophy is India's main domestic first-class cricket competition, where teams compete for points across the season.
Context
Ranji Trophy points come from match results, so a team with few wins can fall behind quickly. Andhra is a southern state side, and home form matters because these matches are played at the home team's ground.
