Alaska Governor Orders Probe Into Democrat Campaign Links
Alaska's Republican governor has ordered an inquiry into whether the Democratic campaign had links to a candidate with the same name. The order follows a New York Times report alleging that Democrats recruited a spoiler candidate, Dan Sullivan.
ContextContext: A spoiler candidate is someone who runs mainly to draw votes away from a rival, which can change the result of a close race. Allegations like this often surface in tight elections, and the probe will test whether the claims hold up.
