Tigress Doors Rani Rescued in Assam, Returned to Buxa
Royal Bengal tigress Doors Rani was released into Buxa Tiger Reserve on October 2. She travelled over 100 km into Assam, where she came near human settlements. Authorities tracked her with a radio collar and she has now been safely returned to Buxa.
Context
Context: Buxa Tiger Reserve is a protected forest, and tigers that wander out of such areas can enter farms and villages, which risks harm to both animals and people. Radio collars help forest teams track big cats' movements.
