India Test-Fires Pralay Quasi-Ballistic Missile
India has test-fired the Pralay, described as a quasi-ballistic missile with a 500-km range and 1,000-kg payload. It is one of the latest steps in India's missile programme.
Context
Pralay is a surface-to-surface missile developed by DRDO, the country's main defence research agency. Quasi-ballistic missiles can manoeuvre during flight, which can make them harder to track and intercept.
