Fire Safety Drill Held Ahead of Deepavali
NLCIL and CISF held a fire safety awareness programme ahead of Deepavali. CISF Fire Wing personnel showed how to handle LPG leaks, fires involving domestic LPG cylinders and electrical equipment, and how to use fire extinguishers. The demonstrations focused on common household risks during the festive season.
Context
Deepavali brings many lamps and extra cooking, which raises fire risks at home. LPG cylinders are common in Indian kitchens, and leaks can be dangerous. CISF is the Central Industrial Security Force, which guards many public sites and plants.
