Sensex Firms Rally in Early Trade on Foreign Inflows
Indian stock markets rose in early trade as foreign funds bought shares and crude oil prices eased. Bharat Electronics, ITC, Adani Ports, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finserv and State Bank of India were among the biggest gainers among the 30 Sensex firms.
Context
The Sensex tracks 30 large companies listed on the BSE, so its moves give a quick view of market mood. India imports most of its crude oil, so lower oil prices can ease costs for the whole economy.
